Please note: Most of these features are only available from your group's public-facing site, not in the Member Portal or OLP App.
Access: The only persons who have access to these webmaster features are the elected officers of the district/local, plus any assigned OLP Webmasters. These additional OLP Webmasters are managed by the Secretary/Controller of the local, or your parent organization in the case of a district. An elected officer loses their Webmaster permissions when their term of office ends.
Creating a Calendar Event
Before creating an event you need to enable the calendar feature. If you haven't done that please enable your OLP Calendar.
To create a Calendar event, click on Calendar in the menu and then click the add event button:
This add event button brings you to this screen:
Fill in the fields for the event. An end time is not required and can be removed if desired. Click 'add' when the event is complete.
Be sure to select your preferred level of Visibility:
Public - visible to anyone
Member - visible to anyone logged in to OLP
Lodge - visible to members of this lodge
Then select or unselect "Allows Comments" as desired and click Save:
Announcing a Calendar Event
Click on the link of the event you wish to announce.
Click the Announce button as shown below:
Here you can send off an email and in-app notification to all members with emails and/or OLP Accounts about the event, providing them the option to RSVP.
Once an event has been announced, you can then send Reminder notifications.
Editing a Calendar Event
Click on the link of the event you wish to edit.
Select the Edit button as shown below:
From here please make any changes to the event title, location, description, date and time, visibility, and comments, and save.
Copying a Calendar Event
Copying a calendar event will copy everything about the event besides the date and time.
Click on the link of the event that you wish to copy.
Select the Copy button as shown below:
From here, please add the date and time, make any edits if required, and save.
Cancelling a Calendar Event
Cancelling will remove the event from the calendar for non-Webmasters.
Webmasters can restore, edit, or delete these events (shown in red text) from their OLP Calendar.
Cancelling will still INCLUDE the event in the Weekly Masonic Updates email on Tuesdays.
In these emails, the event's name text will be RED and include a note that this event has been cancelled.
Click on the link of the event you wish to cancel, select the "Cancel" button as shown below:
You will be asked to confirm. Click "OK", or "Cancel" to return to the Calendar Event:
Deleting a Calendar Event
Deleting a calendar event will remove the entire event from the system, including RSVPs and description and cannot be reversed. Use with caution.
Click on the link of the event you wish to delete, select the "Delete" button as shown below:
You will be asked to confirm. Click "OK" to Delete, or "Cancel" to return to the Calendar Event:
